The show has received quite a bit of email wishing Dan the best; and, wondering about the future of the show. I posted to a topic on The Miniatures Page that we would like to finish a show by Christmas and I would still like to get a show out by the end of the year; mainly, so Dan and I can tell you about how things are going.
Needless to say, Dan is about ready to begin gaming again and will likely make our December club session. I, on the other hand, am fully enjoying being a student pilot and this new flying hobby is taking a huge amount of time betweem ground school studies and actual time in the air. I have a desire to paint miniatures and play war games; but, haven't been able to do so for several months. I believe I am becomming one of those old grizzled gamers who only get to play at conventions. It probably doesn't help that small plane ownership for me could be a real possibility; either alone or as a member of a partnership.
I have some much needed vacation coming at the end of the year and Dan and I will try to get a show out to all of you. Thanks to everyone for being such loyal listeners.

There will be no All About Miniatures show for September. Earlier this month John was too busy to get together with Dan for recording; and, more recently, co-host Dan developed an illness that required hospitalization (never fear, a full recovery is expected last I heard).
We will roll what we have recorded for the September show into the October show. See you next month!

I finally got some time and was able to write down the realism modification discussed in the podcast. I also added a couple more that were not mentioned in the show.
I've also included a handy quick reference sheet!

All About Miniatures is having a contest in which you can win a copy of Aces at Dawn from Majestic Twelve games. To enter in the contest, all you need to do is add your pin to the Frappr Map we have at the bottom of the page. We will then randomly draw a winner before the next show using the list of pins on the map. If you are the winner and agree to send us a report (written or audio) about your playing of the game, we will send you a copy.
Legal bits: We will pay for shipping; customs duties and the like are your responsibility. If the location you want us to send the game isn't the same as your pin on the Frappr Map, you will be disqualified. We are only sending one copy of the game. If the game is lost in shipment (which we will do our best to prevent) you are out of luck.

In talking things over with Dan, it seems that releasing the podcast on the last Saturday (or weekend) of each month will be our goal. That means the next episode should be ready on September 30th barring technical difficulties or family scheduling conflicts. We will certainly post any scheduling problems here.
I also would like to show the picture that the podcast uses for iTunes promotion as I know not everyone uses iTunes. It is a snapshot during one of our many WWII skirmish games. Hope you enjoy it.

In Episode 1, we talked about the French and Indian war skirmish rules we played based on Lord of the Rings/Legends of the Old West. You can find the rules at this link:
